Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 August 2026. This policy covers stl-repair.com and explains exactly what is collected, by whom, and how to opt out.
The short version
You do not need an account to use this site, and it never asks for your name, email or any personal detail. The models you repair are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. Closing the tab discards everything.
Two third parties do see traffic data: Google Analytics (to count visits) and Google AdSense (to serve the ads that keep the site free). Details below.
What this site collects directly
Nothing that identifies you. There is no registration, no login, no contact form, and no newsletter. The only thing written to your browser by the site itself is an optional flag used to disable analytics for the site owner's own browser — it contains no personal data.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — how many people visit, which pages they land on, and roughly where they are in the world. This is reported in aggregate; individual visitors are not identified.
Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data including your IP address (truncated), device type, browser and referring page. Google's own description of how it handles this data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can block it entirely with any browser-level tracking blocker, or by using a browser that blocks third-party scripts.
Advertising
This site is free to use and is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
Opting out of personalised ads does not remove ads — it means the ads you see are less relevant to you.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data held about you, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because this site holds no account data, in practice these requests concern data held by Google as a processor, and Google's own controls linked above are the fastest route.
This site does not currently show a cookie consent prompt. Analytics runs on all visits, and advertising is not yet enabled here. If you are in a region where consent is required before non-essential cookies are set, use a browser-level tracking blocker in the meantime — it will stop the analytics script entirely. A certified consent management platform will be in place before advertising is enabled for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its "sale" or sharing. This site does not sell personal information. Advertising cookie choices are handled through the Google controls linked above.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
External links
Pages here link out to other websites — for example to Google's privacy controls. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately.
